Erykah Badu Make Waves in Fashion at London Fashion Week!

Erykah Badu makes statements like no other person in her genre in this decade has done or could ever do! Her fearlessness of approval in the fashion arena is understated and undervalued by many, but this year at fashion week London, it was recognized! Her as a musician has always been something to wow her audiences! She is the visual definition of shock value! She is the new age rock star for Neo-Soul artists! The modern day George Clinton from Parliament; in female form!

Now, it has not always been this way! We have seen the transition from the earth angel "Apples" to "Amerykah" to "Last name Badu, First name Erykah." Album to album she embodies a level of new understanding and growth that she translucently exposes through her fashion expression!

Burberry fashion show she gets more exposure from being the 2021 face of Burberry, giving a super edgy image to the couture brand known for its plaid and beige basic trenches and bags to more textures and brown plaid instead of signature khaki plaid!

Valentino fashion show we get to experience the first time she meets icon Janet Jackson face-to face. What a collaboration that could be. Lets manifest that and see what will become of it! You never know what kind of magic we will get to experience!

Let's not forget that Ms. Badu is no virgin to making fashion iconic statements! She finds ways to push the envelope of conventional fashion and somehow incorporates a futuristic yet earthy element! Here is her First runway show (Vogue) and its so not amateur! It features a collaboration between Badu and Gunner Foxx, a milliner based in Los Angeles who uses 19th-century techniques to age and weather his hats.

She had the chance to model in first time ever, street fair runway show to celebrate the 130th Anniversary of Vogue World taking place in Manhattan's Meatpacking district. (Picture to the right) It is no wonder she made waves in London. Hats off to you Madame!
