Bohemian Chic fashion is very nitch. You can cross over into another fashion direction with one simple choice in an accessory or texture. So how do you identify if you are indeed Bohemian? Here are some trends that may help you clarify what is defining the new age Boho Chic Fashionista!
The style lends from many different variables. It is a nomadic type of print, vintage, texture with splashes of couture that finishes a look, however its the effortless vibes that the person encompasses that makes all of this work. The fine tuning of personality merged with style is something every fashion designer or stylist builds their body of work on. Let's dive right into it.
Many of times we cross the idea of Bohemian as someone who is not really into fashion details. I lends itself on the misconception that the person is care free and very consumed with more conscious thoughts that they believe personal choice in appearance is superficial and cosmetic, but the truth is that the word bohemian can be used in many different descriptive ways that draw more on character than image. All though the character may be a great percentage of how a stylish bohemian thinks, its not only the views of a person that, that word encompasses. The same goes for the word Chic. Even though the word chic is the complete opposite lending more to the idea of a person being high maintenance or even posh, it does have it dual meaning of defining a personal image or even type of persona as a meaning as well. So when we merge the two together we have a complete image of a cultured individual who is completely comfortable to explore non-popular items as staples in their personal wardrobe to define their image. With that being said their are many visual descriptions of someone being able to pull off Bohemian Chic look. Here's a few.
It is not limited to color combinations, patterns or prints, or even textures alone. It almost always encompasses all of it together. From summer to winter the style gives endlessly borrowing on texture, pattern, woven, beaded, layered, stacked and lots and lots of FLAVOR!
Let's not forget about accessories! Whether you choose beads, diamonds, silver or gold, you can almost never, and I mean never have too much jewelry on. Bangles, cuffs, rings one or all: Stack it up! Scarfs, bantu knotted head wraps, or a crown of jewels can take a simple t-shirt and ripped jeans to edgy boho-chic real quick!
Now that winter has arrived never forget to stay cozy, but hey, lets keep it boho-chic. Layered thigh-high and knee highs can turn a ankle boot into a great pairing with a mini skirt, cut-offs or my favorite short slack-shorts. Yes, please give it some layers and make it fun with textures and prints. Visual niceties, you won't be able to get enough of.
